Our Story
The setting to our lodge sits on private land at Shirley Lake, Alaska, located at the confluence of the Happy and Skwentna Rivers approximately 120 miles Northwest of Anchorage, Alaska (100 miles from the nearest road). While flying over this property for ten years an attraction was made that wouldn’t leave the mind. When the opportunity came to purchase the property and cabins from the original owners, we jumped on it. The thoughts then came up, “Do we keep it for family and friends or share it with the World?” We decided to share this special place with the World, hence the long, hard road to constructing an adventure lodge began. All our lumber to construct our lodge was milled onsite utilizing beetle kill spruce trees. Onsite gravel was used for our concrete foundations. Constructing this special lodge couldn’t have been done without the help of our special team, family and friends. As we complete our lodge, we look forward to building memories for people that will last a lifetime and beyond!
